Large tyre clearance, the lower BB and a slight stretch to the wheelbase hint at the Pilgrims versatility. With room for larger rubber you can tackle far more rugged terrain than a normal road bike (we have had success up to 32 and even some 35c tyres , but this is very much dependant on the model and rim combo), . Come rainy season, 28c tyres and guards can be fitted (again rim / tyre combo dependant). The lowered centre of gravity places riders weight further below the stretched apart axles so stability is maintained without sacrificing agility. On the road small body movements will shift the bike around with aplomb, but if your rubber lets go on a loose surface, it’s all remains more easily controllable. As befits a bike suits year round use on varied terrains and all weathers; full cable-outer runs internally through the frame. Fixed in place with our Modular Cable Routing, this allows Di2 and EPS fitment thanks to alternative inserts supplied with the frame; and all whilst maintaining clean lines. Post Mount disc brakes allow for 140mm rotors without adapters but with clearance for 160mm front and rear. Replaceable and removable 3D printed mudguard mountings mean full mudguards can be fitted alongside the discs, should the ultimate winter bike be in your dreams.
