The 'Ape Index' - a ratio between height and arm span - can be helpful if you're in between sizes and not sure which way to go.
First - measure your height + measure your arm span
Then if:
Span is shorter than height - pick the smaller frame
Span is larger than height - chose the larger frame

B - I WANT TO REPLICATE MY CURRENT POSITION
The aim here is to closely match the stack and reach of your bike to a Bowman frame
Stack and reach - a brief explainer
Stack - this is the relative height of the headtube - a larger stack height will mean a higher handlebar position with the same amount of spacers.
Reach - this is the bikes relative length. - a larger reach will result in the handlebars being further away with the same length stem
1 - find your current stack and reach
On your current bike or frame manufacturer's website, check the geometry table and make a note of the stack and reach measurements of the bike of which your replicating the fit.
Missing stack and reach data or can't find your bike?

2 - replicate your position
Using best match Bowman stack and reach - work out a stem length and height to match your fit.
EG: If your current bike has 20mm of spacers, and a Bowman frame is 10mm taller in stack, the handlebar position can be replicated by running 10mm less spacers.
You will be able to replicate how stretched you feel (handlebars distance from the saddle) by adjusting stem length by 10-20mm)

Your aim when comparing fit data to Bowman Stack and Reach is to replicate your three contact points.
Sarting from the BB (and thus shoe position) replicate seat height and layback from your bike fit data sheet. From there, you can use the stack and reach numbers to ascertain which size frame allows the best fit to replicate your desired handlebar position.
At first, try to use a similar length stem as shown on your fit data sheet and then compare this to our frame fitting size guide. Unless your morphology or fit requirements are very unusual, you will likely be able to confirm your frame size calculations, with the bike fit data giving clear guidance on stem length and spacer requirements for a full build.
